Drag and Drop issue with drop not working

New Here ,
Jun 01, 2015 Jun 01, 2015

Drag and Drop Issue - Cap 7. When "dropping" an object into its designated area, a "correct" drop of the source is not recognized and the item goes to the next adjacent drop zone. This is very frustrating. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Are you sure that there is no overlapping area between the targets?

Hi! Thanks for the reply. Yes - that's an obvious one for me that I checked right away. There does not seem to be consistency between the drops on the targets - i.e. I cannot repeat the same successful action time after time. I will say the target zones are not all exactly the exact same sizes due to the source artwork.

Did you perhaps increase the Hit Area Padding? What is the Snap behavior? Targets don't have to be the same size, but there is a need for space between them.

Hello: Where do Hit Area padding and Snap behavior exist under the Drag and Drop tab? This sounds like the remedy. Especially "Snap". Thank you!

In the Drag&Drop panel, you'll have to select a target object to see those properties.

Hello: I selected the targets as you state, and I still do not see them. Can you screen shot this for me so I can see what you are specifically referring to? Thank you!

Select ONE target, and in the Drag&Drop panel, on the Format tab you should see the options that I showed in the screen shot.
