Adobe Captivate 9

Has anyone created an elearning course using multiple languages?

I am looking for ideas on taking 50 slides with audio (English) on each and replacing them Spanish audio.

Any suggestions or ideas would be great to hear!

As a Canadian, I often have to translate each of my courses into French as well as English. I know some have experimented with allowing users to select what language they see however you would still need to go through the basic process I use below.

I've always had the best success treating them as separate courses. Once I have completed the English course I then export all my text and captions File > Export > Project Captions and Closed Captions... I then send the resulting file to a translation company. Once the file is returned to be translated into French I can import the updated text back into Adobe Captivate and publish it out so I end up with an English and French version of the course to upload to the client's LMS.

Thank you!  I was thinking somewhat of the same idea but using export the xml file and changing the text and import it back into my project.  So in the end, I will have a Spanish version with closed caption.  The project is more of a slide show with audio.

Thanks again!

One tip: before importing the XML or the Word document with the translation, turn on the option 'Autosize Caption' and maybe 'Autosize Button'. Since English and Spanish can have totally different lengths of text, this can help to avoid a lot of manual resizing.
