Exit button doesn't work in our LMS

When I create slides in Adobe Captivate and do a preview of the slides, I can click on the buttons in the preview and they work just fine.  When I add the ZIP file to a SCORM in our LMS, all the buttons work except for the Exit button so I am unable to click and exit the course.  I have to nagivate up to the left hand side and click "back" which then doesn't give me a completed course.  It's not the LMS as others work.  Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?  I even re-created the slide adding in new buttons and the Exit button still doesn't work.

You are not the first to complain about this issue.

It is most likely due to the web browser not accepting the JavaScript function that Captivate is using for the Exit action.  The browser manufacturers announced some time ago they were deprecating use of a particular JS function that was often used when leaving a page because it was not secure.

Unfortunately, you will have to get in touch with the Adobe Support team (this is just a user forum) for more information about when they might be fixing this issue in their code.

Frustrating.  Okay, thank you so much for this information.  I will get intouch with Adobe and see what they can or if they can fix this.

Not sure what LMS you use but we had this happen with Docebo. We ended up setting it up so the final button ran the javascript below instead of the action 'exit course'.

SCORM_CallLMSSetValue('cmi.core.lesson_status', 'completed');
SCORM_CallLMSCommit();
SCORM_CallLMSFinish();

Unfortunately this means you won't be able to use the baked in 'Quiz Results' & exit course button because those interactions are locked. So if you do use the javascript you may need to make another custom recap slide and then close use the above javascript there. Hope this helps.
