Help with publishing a project with demo and assessment slides

Explorer ,

I have created a project which includes a demo and assessment. This has been published on an LMS, however when reporting in the LMS it is only recording the demo slides as viewed and therefore reporting incomplete status.

Can you advise what settings I need or if this is at all possible. Had it working in Captivate 6 but not on Captivate 8

So no branching?  The learner works their way through all slides from beginning to end?

Have you tried turning on the Status marker in the TOC and reset the TOC to show all slides in the project?  This marker should show you whether or not all slides that get visited are being marked as completed or not.

How have you added this Demo and Assessment to the project?  Did you copy the slides in or did you insert them as published SWFs already?

OK.  So far so good.

When you say it is only reporting the Demo Slides as viewed, is that because the learner skips the other slides if they choose to view the Demo only?  If you have completion set up to be decided by the percentage of slides viewed, and your project offers branching, then missing one branch full of slides can mean you don't achieve completion.

So how do you have completion currently being calculated?

The reporting is set to Complete - Incomplete based on number of slides viewed. There are 79 slides in total. First 50 slides are demo, the rest are a combination of information and assessment. When I set the slide views to 50 slides or anything less, I get a completed status, however if I set it to anything over 50, I get an incomplete status.

Thanks! I switched on the TOC and worked it out. I did actually have branching. If you get something right, you jump to a different slide. The slide views needed to exclude the ones you wouldn't see if you got everything correct.

OK.  There is another solution available if your output is for SWF.

The TickTOC widget allows you to have slides that were NOT visited marked as completed.
