How can I insert a slide if I already inserted a slide video?

Hello,

I have an adobe captivate (5.5) project with 2 slides. I added a slide video that spans the 2 slides.

How do I add a 3rd slide in the middle, that also displays the video and appears on the video timing?

Thanks,

Alex

Hi,

Please check this topic in Adobe Captivate Help file, this might help you : http://help.adobe.com/en_US/captivate/cp/using/WS3d71e636065aa5be1d296cb7126af4aa864-7ffe.html

I already looked into that. It only tells me that i can add slides at the end and the beginning, but I want a slide in the middle.

When I read the help topic it sounded like the only options were to add slides at the end.  Since there was no mention of splicing a slide into the middle of this group, I would assume it's just not provided for by the current functionality.

You may find it will be quicker in the long run to just remove the current video, set up the number of slides you want, and then re-insert the video again over the new number of slides.

I was afraid someone would say that. And replacing the video might be a quick solution when you don't have too much slides, but with a video presentation of half an hour and many slides you don't want to reinsert the movie every time you need to add a slide.

But ok, if the functionality is not there then I don't have to look for it either. I'm evaluating Captivate and this was a key feature that I was looking for, too bad it's not supported.
