How to fix the error: "The saved zip file might get corrupted, you should try creating the zip"

One of my files displays an error message that says, "The saved zip file might get corrupted, you should try creating the zip again." It happens every single time I save the file. I have no idea why, I am not "zipping" anything. I am saving the file on an external drive. I have to close 40-50 of these windows with that message (with ignore, debug, and kill options) every single time I save the file. I have eventually to combine these sides into another larger cpt file but I'm afraid to do it cuz I don't wanna corrupt the larger file.

Can someone tell me what's happening and if there is something I can do to fix it?

This might not be due to corruption at all.  The .cptx file format Captivate creates is actually a renamed ZIP archive.  So it could be that whatever it is in your system that is throwing up these messages is recognising that the cptx file is a zip file but thinks there is something wrong with it because it is not using a .zip file ending.

Try taking one of these .cptx files and changing the file ending to .zip, then try copying or saving it to your external drive to see whether you get the same error messages.

Rod posted an explanation, but nevertheless I should be worried by that error message if it keeps appearing every time on saving.

BTW that automatic zipping is also the case for a PPT file, it is a zipped folder. Knowing that allows you to unzip it and extract assets which you can use in other applications like Captivate.
