How to stop a slide progressing automatically when pressing a single button multiple times in Captivate 8?

Hi there, I am a Captivate beginner so I hope that someone can help me resolve this issue I have found!

I am currently creating an e-Learning module that I have designed a custom playbar at the bottom on the screen for. This includes a custom home/TOC (table of contents) button that is linked to the Captivate pre-fabricated table of contents. I have set this button to link to the TOC on the condition that the user clicks on the object. The buttons function works perfectly the first time it is clicked, bringing out the TOC as expected and displays the current slide. When clicking the double chevron it hides the TOC again, displaying the slides original state which is exactly what is required. HOWEVER! When clicking on the home button again for the second time on the same slide it displays the TOC as normal (which is great) but the slide then progresses automatically to the next slide (NOT what I would like) as I have back and next buttons also on the playbar that control the end users actions.

If anyone can offer me a solution to my problem I would be extremely grateful as I can't seem to find anyone else with the same problem?

Thank you in advance

You have replace the simple actions by one-line standard actions. Here is a video on YouTube that explains it, besides the blog post that David was pointing at:

You're welcome. It is no longer necessary in Captivate 9; that version offers to uncheck 'Continue Playing the Project' when you apply a simple action.
