I import powerpoint slides, the sound is perfect, the format works, but not the timing.
All the text shows immediately, it looses the sync.
thank you for your help, I need to finish instruction manuals for my students.

Hi,
Please try the suggestions provided in the blog : http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/2009/02/best_practices_for_handling_po.html
The blog talks about the best practices for handling powerpoint audio in captivate.
Please try these practices and let me know if that helps.
Thanks

Andy the blog post is from 2009 and talks about how Captivate 4 handles PPT audio. Is there a more recent update on this information that describes any differences in the way Captivate 5x versions do this?
I'm wondering if the issue with audio synch for Frenchagain might be due to the audio file being one large contiguous file that gets gradually more and more out of synch as the project plays back. Sometimes this can be resolved by breaking the audio up so that it has to synch to the beginning of more slides. Ideally it should be done slide by slide for perfect synch.

Dear Aditya and Rod,
First thank you so much for answering...
I believe that I was not clear enough.
Each soundtrack does fit each slide. (that part works perfectly), I did try to import slide by slide and all slides together (no joy, same difference)
My problem is inside the slide.
When I record the sound track of my slide I clik on the slide so that lines of text will appear.
After it has been transfered into Captivate.
The lines appear without respecting the timing of my click. Alsdo I don't see the mouse anymore...
(is it more clear?) I apologize for not being specific enough the first time.
Again thank you very much and if you have an other idea, I will take it.
What I have been doing now.
1) I separate each slide in Powepoint (one file per slide.... I know
2) I export each slide as a video.
3) I import each video as a video slide in captivate...
It kind of work, I loose some quality but oh well, the thing is that it is hyper long...
I wanted to make a serie of captivate videos for my students (to help them review their grammar) and now I am becoming skeptical on how relevant is the use of captivate (I still like the easiness of including quizzes.... into the prez)...

I would suggest that the way you are using Captivate and PPT creates a lot more hard work than it needs to be. For the record, I NEVER use PPT as the starting point for my courses. I build everything in Captivate, and record audio slide by slide. I move the audio file on each slide back about a tenth of a second and make sure there's a slight gap at the end of the slide as well. (This ensures Captivate doesn't join all the audio files into one big file behind the scenes and cause issues with downloading times.)
When I work this way, I never encounter the issues you speak of.
