Insert image on slide behind "master slide" objects

Hi

I am using Cap 5.5. I have created a master slide with a top and bottom curved banner. (imported layered image from Photoshop).

On each normal slide i want to insert a background image that sits behind the master slide banner objects (resizing the image on normal size using click and drag is not possible  because of the curved lines on banners). I cannot find a way of doing this. (apart from copying and pasting banners on each normal slide)

On the normal slides the "Master Slide Objects on Top" is not ticked.

On the master slide using the Arrange option for each object makes no difference.

Any idea how to do this?

Thanks

Donal.

I use a Knockout Master slide in that case: master slide covered up with an image that has a transparent part in which the 'background' image can be fitted.

Long time ago I described the work flow:

Another possibility is to put the banners on the first slide and time them for the rest of the project (with option Always on top checked)

Hi Lilybiri

Thanks your second option works.

(minus the Always on top because i want to include button on the bottom banner (border).

Re: the "Knockout Master" i'm assuming that the image you want to insert has to be the same shape as the transparent part in the master background - square shaped in the link you provided, is that correct?

(in my example the top and bottom banners (borders) have curved lines so I'm assuming the image would have to be this shape also).

Thanks,

Donal.

You could create an image with a rectangular transparent part, but of course if you want the individual backgrounds to smoothly integrate with the curved banners it is a lot more difficult (although the magicial application Photoshop could cope with that.

In your case the second option was certainly the easiest one. But be careful if you do not activate Always on top: objects timed for the rest of the project tend to have the lowest priority in the stack, even beneath the objects on master slides.
