Just wanted to check if anyone's tried Captivate 9 or 2017 with High Sierra (10.13)?
I was caught out when I upgraded to Sierra last year and Captivate didn't work, so thought I should check before upgrading this time.
Thanks in advance!
Here's a followup to my previous post:
I upgraded to OS X High Sierra.
I could then not publish or preview working responsive projects. A loader spinner just appears in the browser. The output would also not work on other machines. Projects published BEFORE the upgrade still work in the browser.
Here's the update: I can publish working projects if, in the skin editor, I disable the playback bar.
It's not a solution per say but it is a temp work-around until we have a solution.

No Joy. Deleted the Adobe Captivate 10 folder from my Preferences folder and still won't update. Will try complete uninstall now.

I got the patch on Thursday and all seemed well in preview but I am still unable to publish and have the YouTube video show up. Also, in preview after you play a video none of the buttons in your project work. Will be getting support involved this morning. High Sierra & Cap 2017 are like oil and water ... and me trying to graduate.

Did you clear Preferences?

I've used a lot of top-tier apps from a lot of software houses. And I've never seen anything like the issues we deal with on a daily basis with Captivate. After trying to patch in-app (fail), and then deleting preferences which is a pain (fail), then uninstalling and downloading the app and the patch from the website (fail) and finally installing the downloaded app and updating from WITHIN the app, it worked.
I doubt anyone will have the issues I had (I seem to be cursed by Captivate) but just in case you have issues installing the 10.0.1.285 update, Uninstall Captivate (and delete preferences), reinstall using the Captivate_2017_LS21.dmg file and update from within captivate.
Now I'm going to try publishing and see if any issues arise.
Again I'm on a Mac running OS X High Sierra, not windows.

I just discovered that the same problem occurs if there are manual line breaks in either the question or answer texts in a quiz, even after updating to 10.0.1.285
So in case anyone runs into this and the hot fix or update doesn't help, this might be worth looking into!

I've uninstalled and reinstalled 2017 twice now plus the HUGE assets folder and it still doesn't work?

Same thing for me. What finally helped was to start with an empty project, add some simple content and make sure that worked when publishing. Then I went ahead and copied-in content from a non-working project page by page, testing between each. That way I discovered that it was the quiz pages causing the problem, and doing the same with the content on those, I came to the conclusion that it was the line-breaks in the text that was causing the bug.

This works for me as well, not an ideal work around though. Using a 2011 Macbook Pro as well.

FWIW, the hotfix provided above works great for me. Thanks!

That's too wacky a fix for my blood. Is this the best a big company like Adobe can do - posting a .zip file on Dropbox?

To Adobes credit this was a post they made to our company personally to try to resolve the issue and this was the first time they had seen the issue so I think it's better than nothing
