Looking for an Encoder for SWF to MPEG - Please help!!!

Hi there!

This is my first time posting anything and I have been looking everywhere and downloading all sorts of things but they just don't work!

I have Adobe Captivate CS4 and I am trying to use the swfs in a product called Homestead (its a website design program my boss found - really easy for him to use) and the swfs quality goes down tremendously.

My boss is a perfectionist and so and I and this quality issue is huge. The image seems to get fuzzier when the image gets bigger. Homestead that MPEG files are going to be clearer and that their program prefers them.

So does anyone have any ideas on what I can use to convert the swf file to a mpeg file?

Please help!!!!

Many thanks!
Natalia

Hi Nami and welcome to the community.

Two free converters that come to mind are VLC media Player and SUPER.
VLC Media Player
SUPER Download

Look at their web sites to follow the guidelines for converting swf to MPEG.

Yes it will - stretching the image is going to lose quality.

MPG is about the lowest quality video available to you today.

Try CP 4's built-in export to AVI. You'll need to experiment with the best
CODEC to use. Files exported are HUGE but they will compress easily if, for
instance, you run them through Flash Media Encoder.
