Why is my mouse location & movement out of sync after I record a software simulation?
Location & movement are spot on at time of recording but then when I check the preview it is out of sync.
Within the project preferences of the Recording Modes I have mouse location & movement ticked so not sure what I am missing?
Does it matter which web browser I use to preview my slides, furthermore it there a preferred browser for my learners when consuming the training via the LMS?
Thank You
Alana

Is the display percentage set to 100% for the recording? If not, that could be the origin of the location issue.

Do you mean out of synch with respect to timing of the mouse movement or the position of the mouse on the slide when you are watching and it doesn't appear where you clicked on the slide when you did the recording.
If its the later it could be caused by the type of monitor on which you have recorded your simulation. Hi Res Hi density monitors require the DpiAwareness = 0 in the AdobeCaptivate.ini file to be set to "1". The default is "0" - edit the AdobeCaptivate.ini file with notepad or whatever text editor you have and change the number to "DpiAwareness=1".

DPIAwareness is no longer necessary to change in CP2017, that was the case in previous versions for a retina screen. But the display percetage neefs to be set to 100% and has often a higher value for readability on high ppi screens.

I have checked in Preferences for the display percentage - expected to see it under Recording but can't?
Under Project Size & Quality there is a JPEG field currently populated at 80% - is this where I should be updating to read 100%?
Thanks Again

No, Display percentage is not in Captivate but in the Control panel of your OS, Display part.
