Multilanguage transcript/closed-captions not covering the content

Hi there Community!

I'm using embedded closed-captions functionality, but my CC is more like a transcript and displays whole slide's text at once, so it takes up a lot of space and I’m looking for more flexible solution, which will also allow adding 3 languages instead of just 1. For the built-in functionality:

  • Can you move CC container outside of the course window, for example like TOC (style: separate)?
  • Can you add different languages to CC and choose between them, for example having cpCmndCC_1, cpCmndCC_2, and so on?

What I tried so far is:

  • Web widget with scrolling, but that's a different object on each slide. Also, for some reason it responds to the show command only, but not hide, and I haven’t found a way to have one widget object throughout the whole course and populate it with different text depending on slide’s #.
  • Text Area widget; looks like Web widget? Same issues.
  • Cutting down my transcript into 2-3 lines at a time, so more like real CC, but that's a lot of maintenance, and I prefer to have transcript style anyway. Plus, that doesn't solve the multilanguage issue.

Has anyone implemented a solution which would allow displaying transcript outside of a course window and additionally allow for more languages?

Bonus questions:

  • I’m hosting files in Adobe Prime. Is there any functionality that would help with this on the platform level?
  • Are any enhancements to the built-in CC functionality on the map for new Captivate release?

Presenter used to have the possibility of such a transcript window. Not Captivate, where the normal CC setup has been preferred which shows the text version of audio.

Anyway even for normal CC it is not possibl to upload different languages. Since the audio needs to be translated as well, which means replacing the audio narration clips, it is understandable. One would create a course version for each language and link to them from a main project where the choice is made.
