Hi there,
I realise this issue has been raised once before, but it was at the end of a seperate discussion and was never answered. At work I am using Adobe Captivate 5 as part of Adobe eLearning Suite 2. I can see the Loquendo voices Simon, Stefan and Juliette in my Text to Speech dropdown list, but when I try to play any sudio with these voices all that plays is the message, "Warning, your license is not valid for this computer". I have contacted Loquendo about this and they told me that because it was an Add-On with eLearning suite 2 that it was Adobe's issue. I then contacted Adobe directly by phone and was talking to an agent for upto an hour but with no joy.
The funny thing is that when I downloaded a sample project with the Loquendo voices in it, they played perfectly, but when I try and test the Loquendo voices in Control Panel/ Speech Recognition/ Text to Speech the same warning message is played. Very strange! Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am working to a tight deadline and have been stuck with this problem fror a number of weeks.
Kind regards
Paul

Hi Paul,
Can you try installing the captivate and Loquendo voices on different machine and see whether issue remains or not?
Thanks,
Vikranth.

Hi Vikranth,
Thanks for your response. As far as I know the license only covers one computer and one laptop, I do not own the copy myself as I use it at work. Would uninstalling the eLearning Suite and reinstalling be the same? I have been contemplating this but have left it as a last resort. I will try this if there is a good chance it will work.
Thanks
Paul

Hello,
You do not have to uninstall, if you deactivate the copy, you can install it on another machine and activate there. Later on you can re-activate on your PC.

Thanks Lilybiri,
I have installed the suite on my laptop and the Loquendo voices work perfectly, so it is obviosuly something with my computer at work. I've noticed there are two versions of each Loquendo voice in my Text to Speech list. One version simply named for example 'Simon' (the correct version) and one version named 'Loquendo TTS 7 Simon'. However I can not seem to find where these duplicates are located, so I can't delete them.

Hi Lilybiri,
I have successfully installed elearning suite 2 on my home laptop and the Loquendo voices work perfectly. So the problem is with the computer, as I mentioned earlier, there are two sets of loquendo names apperaing in captivate list for some reason, even when i uninstall the Loquendo voices, one set of names remain in Captivate Text to speech list, even after I tried reinstalling on same computer! Very strange.
Maybe it's something that I won't be able to get help with seeing as it's a localised problem.
Paul
