I hope to get some professional feedback. Since I am looking for a new job, I want to build up my eLearning portfolio using Adobe Captivate 2017. What is the shortest length module I should create to replenish my Instructional Design portfolio? This module length will include quizzes as well.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Having a diverse portfolio can really help you out. I would say make your modules as short as possible while still showcasing a particular strength whether it be learning concepts or design skills. Building a larger quantity of short modules will allow you to target what your prospective employers may be looking to see.

For example, you may want to showcase your ability to create a polished table of contents. It isn't necessary to spend the time building this in all your modules, just build a simple module with 3-4 slides demonstrating that single feature/skill. Then if you want to showcase quizzing applications or advanced actions, do another 3-4 slide sample.

In addition, it might be helpful to have at least one module showing some of your completed work. That way you can show them you have the ability to create content from start to finish, but if they want to see particular demonstrations of features or skills you can use your mini modules.
