Quiz Continue Button not Jumping to Slide correctly

Hi again,

I am having another issue.

I am working in Screen Shot 2016-04-25 at 1.07.25 PM.png

On a Mac

I have done this in other projects and not had any problem like what I am finding now. I have also cross referenced to make sure all my settings are the same.

I have a quiz in my project and after the results slide I have two more slides. One with a message for passing and another for failure. After the student take the quiz and passes or fails they will then click the "Continue" button and then skip to their respective slide.

The problem I have is that after clicking the "Continue" button with a failing score, the slide plays for a bit and then just stops. It won't move forward to the next slide and it won't go  back. I guess it could be described as freezing. If I close out and then redo it with a passing grade, the "Continue" button will jump to the correct slide with no pausing. If I switch the two slides around in the Filmstrip view the "Continue" button doesn't work for either.

Is there anyway to fix this? Here is a screenshot of my Pass/Fail options in the Quiz Preferences

I read somewhere that it could be the result of a corruption on that slide. Is there anyway to remove the automatic Quiz Results slide and make a new one?

Thanks a million,

Kellie

Can you change the Required option back to Optional? There are other ways to force the user to take the questions, but you are asking Pass! That can be the reason for the issues.

D&D will not be the cause AFAIK.

You have two attempts on quiz level, no Retake button? The Failure action will only be executed after the second attempt, but without a Retake button that is a bit difficult. I would even drag the Retake button over the Continue button to avoid that people click on the Continue button before exhausting their Quiz attempts.

There is no way to 'recreate' a score slide. I just created a small test file, with a Continue button set to jump to two different slides on Failure or on Success and it worked perfectly.

What is the setting for 'Required' in the Quiz Preferences? Did you delete embedded objects on the Score slide (objects without an individual timeline)?

Thanks for the response.

I reenabled the "Retake" button. And after getting to the second attempt it still did the same thing where it just freezes.

Normally doing this does work perfectly, I am not sure what has happened to cause the issue. The only difference I know of is that this quiz includes a Drag and Drop, but none of my other quizes did. Could this be causing the Continue button to not work properly?

To the best of my knowledge I did not delete anything off the page.

Here are screenshots of the Quiz Preferences:
