Replace the default preloader

Hello. I have made a custom captivate preloader and i want him to be inserted instead of the default prealoader.

I've named him default.swf and placed it here: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 4\Gallery\Preloaders\AS2.

I've opened a project and published it and i've noticed that my custom preloader doesn't appear. It only shows the Adobe Captivate default preloader.

Is there anything elso needed to be done?

Hello,

Supposing that you did adapt the Preferences, Start and End, under Preloader: choosing the ellipsis to browse to your preloader? Sorry if you did that already, but it was not mentioned.

I did that, but after i noticed that the custom preloader was not appearing.

Is there a possibility to make my custom preloader to be default for all existing and new projects?

I have so many projects, and to do that setting all the time is making me go crazy

I opened Adobe Captivate without loading any project and i tried to acces the Start and End property but it was disabled because i haven't loaded any project. (i opend just the interface).

Build a template with all your desired settings and use it for your future projects. I am not sure what you can do with your existing ones, although you can import them into your new template and publish.

You need to make sure the preloader SWF file is also copied to the same location/folder where you are publishing the Captivate project.
