How can I reset all slides in captivate 8 to their initial state when revisited, including both quiz and content slides? Thank you, Bronte
For all content slides where objects can be made visible by user interactions, I always create On Enter actions. If there are several objects that can be made visible, group them. In my external Library I have some shared actions like 'Hide1' that can be applied quickly and the only parameter you need to enter is the group. That way you don't have to make the objects invisible using the Properties panel, you only need that shared action.

I suppose you mean within the same session? For Quiz slides the only way to rest them is to activate sufficient attempts on Quiz level and to use the Retake button on the Score slide.
As for content slides, all depends on how they are set up, would need more details. Examples: a Drag&Drop is automatically reset. If you use advanced/shared actions to change the content of a slide, you need to create another action to reset everything using the On Enter event of the slide. There is not a unique answer to your question here.

Thank you for your reply.
I also develop in Lectora and Articulate Storyline and find this inability to re-initialise a slide on a re-visit is a real drawback in Captivate.
With regards to content slides, I have some slides with click on button to reveal a text caption or an image. When the user re-visits the slide, I would prefer if it was re-initialised. And yes, in the same session.
Any tips on how to achieve this?
Thank you, Bronte

If you want this to happen every time the slide is visited, you just use a Standard Action triggered by ON Slide Enter to reset all the variables and SHOW or HIDE objects as needed.

Thanks Rod,
I was aware that I could do that with each slide, but it is fairly cumbersome and was hoping there was a shortcut I had missed. But apparently there is no shortcut similar to what is in other applications.
Kind regards,
Bronte
