Hello,
I have created a responsive project in captivate. I have nearly completed the build and attempted to preview the project from the first slide but when I do the project loads indefinately. I have tried chrome vs edge browsers and continue to have the came issues. I have attempted to export the project and load it as a scorm package to my LMS and the project loads indefinately upon the launching from the LMS.
I can sometimes get the project to preview the next 5 slides from within the project build, but not from the first few slides.
Please help I need to turn in the project for a Masters degree course.

Can you please post the full version number? Under the common name CP2019 there have been 3 main releases, and multiple patch releases. You find the full number under Help, About Captivate.
I suppose you used Fluid Boxes for the responsive project, not Breakpoint Views.
Is the first slide a very heavy slide? I mean: does it have audio, video, complicated advanced/shared action or JS?
Maybe post a screenshot of the Timeline of the first slide.
Is the project including a Quiz or scored objects? Since you publish for a LMS, how did you set up Reporting?
How big is the output folder? You can check this in the panel Project Info, click the button Check next to Size Output (HTML). This question is due to your mentioning that you sometimes can view Next 5 slides, but have issues with viewing the full project.
Do you use websafe and/or Adobe fonts? I hope you didn't use System tonts. If you used Adobe fonts, did you add the domain(s) in the Publishing dialog box?

Full version number : 11.5.1.499
I did use fluid boxes. I am new to building projects into captivate. This is my first responsive project and I used a template from within captivate.
The first slide is not very heavy, just a picture, short audio clip, and a continue button. Timeline pic below:
I want the project to allow the learners to complete parts and then have it save in the case that they are unable to complete the entire course in one sitting. here is a picture of the reporting information that is configured:
I do not see where to check the project size, the picture below is what I get when I look at the Project info panel
In regards to the fonts, I used whatever fonts came with the project template and I did not modify them. Where can I check into that information?
Thank you so much for troubleshooting this with me

You are on the first version of 11.5, please update to 11.5.5.553 because your version has bugs.
Avoid audio on the first slide. And for slide audio add a gap before and after the audio timeline:
I see that the audio has empty parts at the start and the end, which could be trimmed. That means that you don't have to increase the slide duration.
Reason for this gap: if you have slide audio on each slide which starts at first frame and ends at the last frame, Captivate may see this as being Project audio distributed over all the slides. That means that it will try to load the complete project audio On Enter for the first slide, and that could explain the long waiting time. It is better to have slide audio loaded on each slide. Anyway I never put audio on the first slide, because on that slide already a lot needs to be loaded. I didn't ask about video, because that is worse of course.
Captivate doesn't provide templates (cptl files) but I suspect you did use one of the Quick Start Projects, or at least some slides from them which are in the Assets panel? I don't recognize this one directly (have lots of blog posts about them). Can you provide its name? Some of those projects are not ready to accept audio.... See this post:

About Reporting: not all LMSs work nicely with a criterion based on 100% slide views, because they consider a slide needs to be viewed completely. That is for sure not the case in your first slide (only one I see at this moment). That slide is paused at 1.5secs by the Begin button. That button probably has the action 'Go to Next Slide'. That means that the frames after that pausing point are never visited. It is possible that the LMS will see this slide as being viewed. Do not be confused because the audio continue playing notwithstanding that pausing point. If there is one recommended blog post out of the multitude I wrote it is this one:
https://blog.lilybiri.com/pausing-captivates-timeline
It has over 70K views...

I meant the Project Info panel, and the file size. You open that panel using the Window menu, and click the Check hyperlink:

I have uupdated my CAPTIVATE version to 11.5
I removed the audio from the first slide so to not have too much to load.
The project design is the Aspire project from the assessts library.

I don't know if you read the blog about audio in QSP projects.
Aspire has most slides set to Pause on Enter. You have to take that out, because it means that the slide audio will never play. Did you use any Preview yet.

I have read the blog but most of my audio is recorded to the state view of an item. That way the audio only plays when the button corresponding with the state view, is clicked.
I am strill havint the same issue with previewing the project. I can preview pieces of the project from some slides, but I cannot preview the entire project from the first slide. The picture below is what happens when I attempt to preview from the first slide.
Does the size of the project have something to do with this issue?
Also, I would prefer to not have the playback control bar which is why I built navigation buttons. Is it possible to produce a responsive project without the playback bar?

49MB is rather heavy, but I am not sure that is the reason for your problems. For responsive projects which need to be viewed on phones I prefer to set the limit to 20MB.
If most of the audio is object audio (which is the type also used for audio connected to a state), it still has to be loaded On Enter but will not be victim of the possible project Audio issue I explained before.

okay. I found a slide that when I removed it, the entire projec would preview again. I guess there was something wrong with that slide in particular.
Now I am running into a differtent (and I am sure, simple issue), I have a slide with object audio, that wont stay long enough for the audio to play before sontinuing to the next slide. I am not sure why the slide is continuing on it's own. I have created a continue button and I have the slid set to no action on enter.

That is what I suspected: a corrupt slide or a corrupt object.
When you insert Object audio you mostly get the question to increase the duration of the slide, but in most cases that is not necessary - contrary to slide audio.
You have a 'Continue' button, which normally is necessary to have the slide paused. Can you show me a screenshot of the Timeline of that slide? Object audio starts playing when the object appears. Same when the audio is linked to a state in a multistate object: when the state is made visible the audio will start playing. I need to understand the setup of the slide and a Timeline could help me.
