Retake button disappears with infinite attempts and no review quiz

I'm using Captivate 9 and LearnCenter as our LMS. LMS is set up to allow multiple quiz attempts. Captivate source file is set up to allow infinite attempts (review quiz is not selected), but when users get to the end of this quiz, the retake button is not shown. Within the project, the retake button is on the quiz results page like normal. I've tried it on Edge and Chrome, still having the same issue on both. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.

Are you sure about the version number, because 9 is very old and no longer supported by Adobe. We are on version 12. Check the full version number under Help, About Captivate.

Can you post screenshots of the Quiz Preferences? Which theme are you using? Did you delete items on the results slide or on the master slide it is based on?

Thanks! I'm definitely wrong on the version. It's 11.5.5.553

I didn't create the course, so I'm not sure if items were deleted on either the results or master slide. Looks like the quiz theme was used. We have similar quizzes that are showing a working retake button, so I've compared the quiz settings on both and have found no differences, but I must be overlooking something.

Can I see the Pass or Fail as well, I just see the Settings.  The other Preferences are probably not relevant.

Which Theme is used, please?  Use the Themes big button to see the relevant theme for the quiz slides, while a question slide or the score slide is selected. The version you are using allows multiple themes in the same project. FYI this is the most stable version of Captivate I ever used in 2 decades, and I'm using it for my professional jobs. Keep it carefully!

Score slide is not really looking as expected. Normally the fields in the right column are between curly brackets. Can you post a screenshot of the master slide for the results slide?

Yes, I definitely agree with this version! The theme that is used on the results slide 'Quiz Theme'. I've attached the image below.

I've included a screenshot of the master slide view as well. I agree, it doesn't look right. I also see a review button there even though that's turned off in the settings.

That is not a n original Captivate theme, but a custom theme. It is possible that the theme is corrupted but that is impossible to detect by me. To check it out, you could save a copy of the file and apply one of the Captivate themes to that project and test it out.

As for the presence of the Review button on the master slide, do not bother. That master slide has all the objects which can be used on the results slide.  You can hide some of them by choosing Settings, that is the reason why the Review button is not appearing on the real results slide.

The only option which was changed from the default setup in Pass Fail is the Success action. I prefer to leave it to 'Continue' instead of 'Go to Next Slide' for reasons I will not expand on. I suppose you have at least one slide after the results slide?
