I have set the font for an interactive that I am using, but when I save and preview/publish, it defaults to the original. It still shows my font changes when I reopen it, however. Suggestions?

What do you mean by 'interactive' please? Can you give some more details, and tell which version you are using?

I am using Captivate 10, and the interactive is a learning interaction. I have set the font to Avenir and saved it, but when I preview and publish it, the font defaults to original text. When I reopen it, it still indicates the change to Avenir.

Is Avenir a websafe font?

I believe so, yes. The presentation in its entirety is Avenir, the branding font from our style guide, and it publishes fine. It's only the learning interaction that will not display it.

You can only test if this is a websafe font when someone else, outside of the company who doesn't have that font installed, is seeing it. I feat that within the widget you always have to use a websafe font. Maybe in CP2017 a Typekit font would also work, but I didn't double check that.

Thank you for the clarification.

Avenir is not available in Typekit and isn't websafe either. There are some methods that you can try to get this to work. Take a look at this article to see how you can package a font with a published project: https://www.flicklearning.com/blog/how-to-embed-fonts-in-adobe-captivate
I've had some success with this process but its time consuming to accomplish. I've had more success with Steven Warwick's method of using Google fonts with Adobe Captivate. Check out his article here: https://elearning.adobe.com/2017/03/using-custom-fonts-in-adobe-captivate/
