Simulation Text Boxes in German?

Greetings:
I have been using Captivate 3 for a few months, this is a new issue to me. When looking back through a simulation I captured, the automatic text boxes all display in German. For example:
Diese Zelle auswählen

which translates to Select this cell (thank you Google, my college German class was a long time ago). Here is another one:
Fenster ' http://redcondor.com - Quarantine Tab - Mozilla Firefox' wird geöffnet

Any ideas of what causes this or how to fix? The only language setting I can find is for the dictionary, that is set to US English. I have done about a dozen simulations on this same computer and software installation, they have all come out in English before.

Hi Karl and welcome to the community

First place I would look is in the recording window of a new project, this is the dialogue box where you would select Record to start the recording. Bottom left of this there is an "Advanced" option. Open the advanced option up and you should see the language in which your captions will be created. Set this to English.
