Smart shape buttons don't work in scalable html5 output

I'm experiencing an annoying error I can't seem to solve. I have a number of courses created throughout the last year - originally the courses were published as SWF. Now I want to publish them as scalable html5, but for each and every course smart shapes used as buttons don't work. (the courses were created in CP8, which I'm still using)

- if I publish as SWF, they work

- If I publish as HTML5, they work

- If I create a brand new project and publish as scalable HTML5, they work

- I've tested the course in two separate LMSs with the same results

- It's only existing courses published as scalable HTML5 that don't work

Can anyone think of a reason (or setting) that may cause this problem? (Adobe support weren't able to help as they couldn't recreate the problem)

Which version of 8? Maybe Adobe help was using 8.0.1.242 and you are still on 8.0.0.145?

Scalable HTML is responsible for lots of issues.  I suggest you avoid it.

Even when it does work and doesn't foul something else up, scaling the content always means a loss of resolution and clarity in the content.

If you have Captivate 8 or 9, and you really must have content that scales, try using Responsive projects in future.

Thanks

Think I will avoid scalable versions until this functionality hopefully becomes more stable.
