Software Simulation - Background Image Issue CP9

New Here ,
May 17, 2016 May 17, 2016

Hi

It has been some time since I have used Captivate and getting familiar with the new CP9 interface.

I have noticed something strange when doing a software simulation. What I think is part of the slide background image is in fact not and I can not edit it. It is almost as if there is some sort of animation being recorded during the capture but I don't see it in the library or am unable to select it.

an example is when in an applications menu and the menu options change colour when you mouse over them. The colour change is being captured but is not showing up as a movie in the filmstrip or in the library.

Demo recording setting I have set are:

Captions --> Add Text Captions

Mouse --> Show Mouse Locations and Movement

Mouse --> Add Highlight Boxes on Click

Is there something obvious I am missing here???

Cheers

Craig

Anyone have any ideas?

I have found other backgrounds in my simulations that are missing dialog boxes but when the time line for the slide progresses the dialog box appears.

Again the dialog box does not appear in the time line, I can't edit it, merge it with the background or delete it.

Any ideas ?

Here is a screen grab of what I am talking about. I have made the background transparent and as I scrub the time line the dialog box appears. Prior to that the area on the screen the dialog box occupies was white.

The dialog box only appears when the time line is nearing the end.

Is it possibly the application I am recording and how it interacts with IE11?

The only thing I can think of at the moment is just to take an extra screen capture (Print Screen) prior to performing the screen interaction.
