Hello Community,

I am dealing with a situation I hope you can help me with.

While creating a training module in Captivate 9 I wanted to incorporate software sim slides.

Previously I was able to start the software sim and choose my source window, snap to window and record.

The alignment was perfect and I could create as much as I need.

Since last week for whatever reason Captivate has decided to ignore the red rectangle recording window.

It now records parts of other screens and apps that are open on them.

Snapping to window no longer snaps anything to the actual recording window (it snaps whatever source I choose to a small version of itself)

Basically I can no longer use the software sim in a way that records the actual item I need recording.

Has anyone had similar issues and found a solution?

Added the recording window and the final result as it look on the slide after ending the software sim recording.

(The black sides I added to the recording window to show you guys I am selecting a browser as my recording only yet still the final slide aligns wrong and showcases the sides from other screens)

Using Captivate 9.0.1.320 & IE 11.420.10586.0 & Windows 10 Pro (v1151, build 10586.420)

Laptop is an Asus Zenbook (i7 2,6ghz, 16gb ram, geforce 960m with a ssd)

(Tried using different browsers and this did not help)

Any illumination into this situation is much appreciated and welcomed!

Sincerely,

Sean

Can you make sure you are trying to capture from your primary monitor screen, and that your display is set at 100%?

Thank you. I missed your review and find it very comprehensive. Yes its unfortunate that Adobe doesn't always do a good job in letting us know what has been fixed when their software is updated.
