Hi All-
I am converting a statistics course to an online module and need to be able to use a square root symbol both in a text caption and in quiz feedback. Can anyone tell me how I can do this?
Thank you.

Hi Rita,
Square root is not available as symbol in CP. My workaround is to copy it from Word (using Equation, where you have the square root available and the same font as I use in CP) into a text caption. I really hope next version will allow to insert Unicode directly or to add custom symbols

Actually, I just discovered if you type “alt 2-5-1” you will get the square root symbol. Cheers!

Rita,
That is the first thing I tried (know that number by heart), but cannot get anything with an Alt-number combi in Captivate. Are you talking about CP or about Word (where it is possible)?

I did it right in Captivate 5 without any problem. I just literally typed alt 2-5-1, the symbol appeared and then I typed the numeral I wanted the square root of. ?!?
