Anyone have suggestions for storyboard software that can be used to make quick storyboards just to get approval, and can also be used in conjunction with Captivate?

Why not use Captivate?

Create your project and if you need additional ideas or instructions on the StoryBoard put them in slide Notes.

Then, publish as a word document. Try the Handout setting and the StoryBoard setting to see what you like best. The handout setting gives you more choices on how many slides per page but the storyboard setting may contain more of the information you want.

The main reason for using a rapid development tool like Captivate is to show the audience or approvers what it will really look like in real time and not only a storyboard. I know that for some organizations the storyboard is what they live by but this may be an opportunity to demonstrate the project and let them look at the storyboard as they see the real thing.

While not specifically mentioned by JLRiley, I imagine he was suggesting
Powerpoint? CP does a decent job of importing PPTs though you will have
adjustments and edits to make.
Storyboarding in PPT is pretty easy. Converting it to CP is ok...

I would like to try this - but can't get a visual on how you set it up in .ppt...any chance you can give me an idea/provide a sample of how you lay out your storyboard in PPT? Do you break it up per slide and use vertical columns or horizontal sections, i.e., graphic on top, text on bottom?

Thanks!!

I would suggest trying free tools like https://wideo.co/storyboard-creator/ that make the Storyboard creation process easy. There are plenty of options out there but you can try this one at least and see how it goes.

Best

You answered, probably unaware, to a thread which is created in 2008.... bit old!
