I'm working in Captivate 9.0 and have created a simple 3 tabbed interaction which reveals different content for each tab. (No advanced interaction, just changing the state of an object when the tab is clicked). I have tinkered with all of the different actions upon entering/exit, etc, but I cannot get the slide to stop advancing automatically after I have clicked each of the three tabs. I want the user to click a "Continue" button (which I have inserted on the slide and which works) when they are ready to move on and after they are able to click back and forth between the tabs as they want.
Is there some setting or workaround that I'm not aware? I did a quick search on the forum here but did not see anything.
Do you want that Continue button to appear only when they have used the tabs (it is Advanced actions, not interaction, that is another panel)? In that case you would need a conditional advanced action. If you only want to prevent the playhead from being released when you execute a simple action (from the tab 'Actions' dropdown list), be sure to uncheck the option 'Continue Playing Project':
