Update all backgrounds in one step?

Hi,

We have an English-language user interface that we have created a software demo for in Captivate 5.0. We would like to recapture the screens in another language, and save those as bitmaps or jpegs or whatever, and then import them as backgrounds into the original Captivate project. Right now, I can do this one slide at a time by right-clicking the original background in the Library and choosing Properties, and then clicking the Update button on the Image Properties dialog, and pointing to the new background. But it would be great if we could just right-click the Backgrounds folder, point to a folder, and have all the slide backgrounds updated in one step (assuming we named all the new backgrounds with the same names as the original backgrounds).  Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!

Hello,

Interesting question, but have no answer ready. A lot could be improved to make localisation work flow more easier. And I will explore to search for a possible quicker way. You know that you can import all the new images to the Library, I suppose? But too bad, there is no "swap" option for backgrounds. I will certainly introduce a feature request (as I did for swapping for normal images).

Do you use only Captivate or do you have the eLearning Suite?  I am thinking about using the PSD-roundtripping from eLS.

Just one tip: do not use JPEG for the images, if possible import PS-files, or if you need to compress PNG.
