V 2017: How can I make an object's audio start 5 seconds after the object flies in?

My object (a cartoon person) jumps in while the narrator is talking. I want the object's audio to play after the narrator stops talking. How do I delay the start of the object's audio?

  • The narrator's audio is attached to the slide.
  • The object's audio is attached to the object. I tried to add 5 sec. of silence to the beginning of the audio, but Cp didn't retain this silence.

Hi,

I would insert the audio in the timeline to control when it starts

As good practice, can you specify your operating system, version of Captivate and a screenshot would help

Use the On Enter event of the slide to trigger an advanced action:

Delay Next Actions by ... seconds

    Play Audio...

    Continue

You replace the object audio by audio started by that command 'Play Audio'.
