Hi community,
i read some threats about this and had that problem as well. I refused to be believe, that my LogiTech Brio 4k is the reason for Captivate 2019 crashing if i start Captivate with the Video Demo profile.
So here is what helped me:
I have OBS-Studio installed, including a virtual-cam plugin.
Removing the virtual camera did the trick for me.
What i had to do to get rid of the virtual camera was running the "virtualcam-uninstall" script as administrator from "C:\Program Files\obs-studio\data\obs-plugins\win-dshow".
Hope that helps you out there as well.

I also have a Logitech BRIO and haven't been able to use Video Demo for some time now. This uninstall script works for me as well but as soon as I try to select the BRIO as my webcam Captivate crashes once again. It seems at best to be a temporary solution. I haven't been overly concerned about it since I exclusively use Camtasia for all the workflows that I previously used Video Demo for.

I'm having the same problem. I'm unable to start a video demo as it crashes right away.
- I do not have a Logitech webcam. I have disconnected the existing webcam
- Captivate is updated to the latest release
- I had the OBS virtual cam, so I uninstalled it. Still same issue
- I uninstalled OBS, still same issue.
Unable to create any video demo in the meantime.

absolutely worked for me. But New question is "HOW to work with captivate demo video and OBS virtual cam at the same time?"
