Video in Presenter presentation becomes letterboxed in Adobe Connect

I have a few .wmv videos in my Powerpoint presentation that whether I publish to HTML5 or SWF in Presenter, they become letterboxed when I view them in Adobe Connect. When I view the source files for the videos they are widescreen but I don't know how they appear cropped in Powerpoint and this is the desired view. Note: I did not build the PPT and cannot change it. Is there a setting I need to change somewhere in Presenter, Connect, Powerpoint, etc?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
