Want to reset slide view status when going back to start of e-learning

Adobe Captivate Classic 11.8.3.8

SCORM 1.2, 3rd edition project

I have a sequence of slides with training content. Then I have a quiz. If the user reaches 3 attempts and still fail, the course takes them back to the first slide for remediation (I used the technique of adding an Advanced Action on enter for the first question slide that checks which attempt it is, and if it is attempt 4 or greater, it takes them back to slide 1 of the content for review).

However, I don't want the learner to be able to then jump right back to the quiz (or let's say, the slide before the quiz) in order to do their 4th attempt without reviewing the content again.

I have the setting enabled that the learner can only navigate to slides already visisted. However, if they fail the quiz for the 3rd time and are sent back to the first slide, the slides they've visisted are still marked as visisted and they can use the TOC to jump back to the quiz or right before it, defeating the purpose of trying to enforce remediation.

I am thinking that an additional action for the advanced actions could reset the markers for which slides were viewed, but I cannot find it.

Basically, the learner after the 3rd failed quiz attempt will be directed back to slide 1. I don't want them to be able to jump to the quiz again without going through the content first.

I feel silly, it was a simple solution. On the first question slide, I added to the script that it should lock the TOC when it goes back to slide 1. Then, on the slide after the quiz results, I added an action on enter that unlocks the TOC (because the only way they can get to that next slide is if they passed the quiz). So that solved the problem and stopped the learner from being able to skip ahead if they had to remediate.
