There are lot of factor to consider when we choose a LMS. Firstly need to determine the LMS learning goals then check all the important features, which are required for the business. If you are looking for LMS that is related to Safety Company there are number of LMS available. But before selecting one you should check all the online review and customer’s feedback and other factors as well. As per my analysis, I have found an LMS related safety concept, that are best according to Capterra reviews and vendor service support with list of heavy features, BISTrainer LMS - Trainanddevelop is the first choice of safety companies. Go for it and try a trial version first.

Hi,
when we talk about training inside the company, LMS security is one of the primary factors to consider. To keep confidential data safe you need to be sure that you can avoid information leak.
Also, training is considered as a compulsory activity and to make it more engaging you should consider LMS that support social learning for example.
Many companies encourage employees to share their training results on social profiles to get benefits through competitiveness and increased employee motivation.
You can also have a look at www.lmsdemos.com website where the demos of popular Learning Management Systems are shown.
Good luck http://lmsdemos.com/

Dear Sam,
As you've already wrote, it's very hard question, because everybody wants to spent his money as well as possible. In this case I can share you my best experiences with http://www.Training-Online.eu. I used in the university and now I use it in my own company to educate employees.
The greatest aspect of this E-learning platform is that you don’t have to pay any fixed monthly fees and there is no initial investments. That means you pay only for assignment to the course. Despite this the quality of the services is really high.
I’m sure that the thing you’ll appreciate the most is the security. – All data are here kept in full security and if you’re not an authorized user with access to the e-Learning Management System, you’ve no chance to go there.
I hope it’ll help you.
Let me know and take care.;-)

Just a thought and through years of experience, I would gravitate for an LMS that you house locally not a hosted solution.
Developing and testing on a hosted solution is brutal as you need to package and import the entire course for testing. With a LMS you own you can ftp (Beyond Compare is an excellent tool) single files to the content area and you can see your changes almost immediately.
There are workarounds, our client uses BlackBoard. We only package the imsmanifest and xsd files to import the course. We put the content in the content area and update files there. If you need to make changes to the course, it is seamless to the student. Normally you must close registration wait for all current users to complete the course and then re-import to make any changes.
Hosted solutions are very expensive, Moodle is free, customizable and you own it. If you don't feel you can set it up you can pay for that too and it's still reasonably priced. Having access to the database is a huge plus when you run into completion issues.

Just a point to add here: Uploading just single files from a SCORM package directly into the folder of the LMS is ONLY for the experienced users that know what each of those files do. If you were to republish something on your development box and then just upload SOME of those SCORM files to the LMS instead of all of them, you'd risk causing issues.

Hi Sam,
I think it would be best to go through the likes of Capterra, G2 Crowd and the various other LMS ranking sites. But it would be better for you to start shortlisting LMS platforms by understanding your needs - so is course authoring essential? purchasing courses? gamification? compliance?
Once you have an idea of this you can review articles and content that ranks or discusses LMS platforms with your required features. This makes the search a little easier but you will still be in a variety of choice.
For your safety training company, it would be an idea to consider compliance tracking to ensure certification renewals generate alerts to your customers and staff. I would recommend checking out Qintil as they have something called the compliance matrix which essentially lets your track your learner's overall training compliance. https://www.qintil.com/for-employers/
