Hello there- I've downloaded a few Characters from the Assets, but they're not showing up on my main Captivate Ribbon when I choose Media>Characters. I've done this seamlessly in the past. Any ideas about why they're not showing up there now? I'm using Captivate 2017.
This is a know issue that we (eLearning Brothers) have brought to the attention of Adobe. They assure us that it will be fixed with the next update. In the meantime, you can get your cutout characters through the ELB library using the same credentials you use within Captivate and just insert them as you would any other image or media file.
Ah...okay, I couldn't figure out how to access the free ones. I have updated Adobe credentials that didn't work on the eLearning Brothers website, but my older password did. Thank you.
What do you mean by "the same credentials you use within Captivate"? I don't use any credentials within Captivate. Are you talking about a serial number? Hard to figure how that translates to a login ID and password...
This is really something Adobe has to get fixed ASP. I was teaching client last week who just purchased ten licenses for Captivate and of course during the class we experienced this problem. These assets are part of what you pay for! - Also the people who license the software are not necessarily the users hence the problem noted above. Can we encourage the powers that be to get this resolved?
Unfortunately the "powers that be" don't happen to live on this forum. If you have an issue with the way Captivate works, the best avenue to get the attention of the people that build it is to log a bug / enhancement request using the form provided on the Captivate Community web page.
