I have text in a box in my slide...I've made sure it is on the top of everything in my timeline, but it still will not show in my preview. Help?

Is this happening during Preview (which Preview) or after publishing? Are you sure there is no pause in your timeline preventing the showing up of the text? Which version do you use?

During preview and publishing, but it is visible on the filmstrip.
We see in the timeline that there is an Active/Inactive with a pause button. Is there something there that needs to be fixed? If so, where do we fix it?
We are in Captivate 9.

Can you insert a screenshot of the timeline, please! What you mention means there is an interactive object that is waiting for an action of the user. Select that object, look in the Actions tab of its Properties panel.

All objects appear from the start, so it is not due to the pause from 4 Text Entry Boxes.
Can you check the visibility in output for the text that is not appearing: the eye icon on its properties panel, top left is it OK or has it a red line to indicate invisibility?

So, is there any reason why this might not be working other than the gods are trying to ruin our Saturday? ![]()

We are grad students creating a learning module, and no instructors in our program know anything about Captivate...You, like Obi-Wan, seem to be our only hope and the moment.

I'm sorry, but there is no reason why this would not show at all. Believe me, I know Captivate pretty well. I see there is a 'feedback' caption, wondered if it is not hidden by an advanced action, to make it visible (with another action) when the TEB's have being filled in. Did you create that file?

Huh...okay...
Can you possibly answer another question?? We have made text bubbles, with dialogue in them. In Captivate, they are fine, but when we publish the text does not stay in alignment.

Which font did you use? What output is your goal: SWF or HTML? Is this a normal or a responsive project? Which type of Preview do you try: none of them is perfect but the best are the Browser previews. Which browser are you using?
