UIWebview and captivate 9 - html5 rendering issues

Does anyone have any experience with UIWebview and captivate content?  We have a native ios mobile app that uses UIWebview as the browser.  I have several examples of content that was published with older versions of captivate that work in this built in mobile web browser api flawlessly.

I have noticed since we started publishing html5 content from captivate 9 the content is a bit more unstable.  I know that UIwebview does not use Nitro to render .js making it slower than safari, this is noticeable for sure.  The bigger problem though is inconsistency of content rendered.

Many times it would load as expected but maybe 30% of the time the browse hangs on loading the content, or it doesn't render correctly (elements are missing and navigation doesn't work).  The strangest thing is the inconsistency, if it always didn't work or had consistently repeatable behavior I might have an idea where to look or troubleshoot,  but often it works just fine albeit slow.

Anybody else using captivate html5 in this capacity that might have any suggestions?  Some thing must have changed in the Captivate render engine from version 8 to version 9 that is causing this.  I am investigating a more updated native api browser to implement into our app, but looking for any help or suggestions short term.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Brian
