Zoom in and Zoom out

New Here ,

I saw in some examples, it is possible to zoom in and zoom out.

I have my site and would like to make a zoom in on my logo.

I tried to do so:

Add zoom areas

1.In an open project, select the slide to which you want to add a zoom area.
2.Select Insert> Standard Objects> Zoom Area.

But, becomes distorted, I saw in some examples that do not distort.

Thanks and sorry about my English.

I don't the specifics of the examples you've seen, but I too was perplexed when using zoom. It appears you have a couple options for zoom.

1. The direct option... Insert a zoom area and let Captivate create a graphical zoom of that region.

2. The slight of hand option... On the New Zoom Area > Zoom Destination Area tab, you can click the Select Image button. Find an image in your library or Import an image that represents the zoomed area. For instance, if you select your logo area on the slide, you can select a larger image of your logo in this option. When the zoom area object is reached in the timeline, it will show the larger logo image instead of enlarging the region of the slide.

Hope this helps.

Hi all

To expound on what xphysicsguy suggested (which is good by the way) this should really be common sense but you never know.

It is important that if you take this sleight of hand approach that you don't change the size of the image you are zooming. It's just so darn easy to accidentally drag one of the sizing handles and oops! Suddenly the image is all askew.

Cheers... Rick

Hi Adriano

You, ummm, DO realize that the example you pointed to wasn't accomplished using Captivate, right?

I'm not sure what exactly was used for that tutorial, but it wasn't Captivate. It would certainly be nice to know though!

Cheers... Rick

Looks like Camtasia may have been used to create skin tone example.
