All projects disappeared in Character Animator

After being signed out of CC, I signed back in and found all my characters GONE from Character Animator. 

There are no files left.  What happened and how do I recover my work?

My guess is it created a new project rather than opened old project. Try “open recent projects“ from the menu.

Thank you, we had tried that and got nothing.  However, we did find the files today--just very strange that they were not listed yesterday.
