It could be your video - is there any clutter in the background? Also, check to make sure your arms aren't bending too far forward or backward from the body when tracking.

Hi! Thank you for your comment. I think everything's fine at my setup.

Have you tried it? How is it at your end?

I do not understand why the puppet is behaving this way. I disabled motion tracking and I was able to move the arms using the dragable behavior, but motion tracking is determined to keep the arms at the sides of the character. Maybe @oksamurai can figure this out if he has a chance.

It is because the arm retargeting is based on where the head is. The puppet's head is at its waist. The body tags need to be at anatomically-correct locations. Otherwise, the retargeting will not work.

Oh no wait, I just realized I am using 2 head tags because I want to have 2 face behaviors. One is for controlling the entire body movement, thus the on on the waist position, and one in the actual head.

Is there anyway to workaround this?

You should never have more than one head tag. The software simply does not know what to do with the extra tag, causing all sorts of errors. Use the body tag to control the body movement and the head tag for the head.

I know some tutorials including the ones by OkaySamurai suggest having two head tags for the body tilting with the Face Behavior. This was more or less a hacky workaround back in the days when Character Animator had to animate through faces only. This multi-head rigging strategy will not work well with full-body animation features such as body tracking and motion library because the system needs to see the correct location of the head to calculate the location of other body parts.

For now, you need to either give up using body tracking or give up the body tilting with the Face behavior.

If you feel it is important to have both, please make a new feature request to add the body tilting feature to the face behavior without conflicting with body tracking. This is more of a face behavior issue, not body tracking.
