I'm getting frustrated with the crashing. Ch crashed about a dozen times yesterday. I've deleted & reinstalled several times. I have 32GB of RAM on a two year old PC. Does it matter where I store my assets? Should I keep everything on my C drive? It's frustrating because I put so much time into learning Ch. I just wanna dive in & play around. TIA

Did you submit them with the crash reporter and if so did you include an email address? Which version of the app are you using? (it sounds like you're using the Windows version, but knowing the specific app version might help me find the reports even if they were anonymous) I did a search in the last 48 hours and can't find a signature with 12 crashes. We've sometimes had issues with some integrated GPUs (Intel ones especially) and there's also certain third party camera drivers and utilities that have caused stability issues for us in the past.
Hopefully with a bit more info I can find some reports and see if we can figure out why the app is struggling so much on your machine. With the right clue, it we might be able to get to behave better so you can get to the fun part. 😁

Thanks for the reply. This is amazing. I was not aware of a "Crash Reporter" but I am now. Thank you. When I'm home I'll look into that and I'll find out what CPU I'm using. I'm a CC user and I didn't see an option for Windows when loading the program there. Thanks for your response, I'll be in touch.

Hi dtull-adobe, How do I submit a Crash Report? I've been searching & can't find the answer. I just opened up Ch for the first time today. My computer crashed within 5 minutes.
Here is my rig:
CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
I'm a CC user so I don't know if installing a Windows version is possible for me.
Please let me know how else I can help you help me. I'm excited to dig into Ch and do lots of creating there. Thanx again,
Kurt

Your computer crashed? Like a blue screen of death where the whole OS crashes? The CPU and GPU both seem plenty capable. If Character Animator crashes, it should pop up a dialog offering to send the crash report, but if the whole computer is crashing, that makes me think it'd be worth updating your GPU driver. You're not overclocking or anything like that, right?

Hi Dtull, thanks for following up. I'm not sure what to call it but my computer was restarting repeatedly while using Ch and I never had a chance to file a crash report. I suppose that's not technically "crashing" but I didn't know what to call it. I'm having a much better time now. The few days when I was having so much trouble, the file I was working was too complex. I've been paying more attention to simplifying & grouping my Illustrator files and doing more organizing and proper labeling and everything is working much better. Thanks so much for your attention to my case. If I run into trouble again I'll look into upgrading my GPU.
