The latest version and Windows 10.
It always happens when I want to create a scene. I've been able to
overcome that by creating a new scene and then deleting and then recreating
it, but it's a bit troublesome if it's always like that

Do you have no problem if you create a new empty scene and place puppet (the one you have this error) in this empty scene?

all I did was delete "WarpCache" if it comes up.

The first error ("Could not open the file <path>\temp.noindex\WarpCache\...") tells that something was interfering when the temp folder was renamed.

Do you use a virus checker? If so, can you try to exclude the folder where you save CH project from virus scanning?

Or, can you try to save the project on a different drive which might affect timing?
