Hiding controls for hidden elements

is there a way to hide all the controls for elements that are hidden in a rig?

Say i I have two characters that are triggered using a swap set. All of the hidden objects controls are still visible making a lot of clutter to sift through.

I have not heard of that capability. Sometimes you can combine the same behavior to control multiple swap set entries and so keep the number of behaviors down that way, but not always.
