How to lip sync mouth from camera not audio, and other stuff

i'm trying to create a puppet and have done with some success, but it's not exactly what i want and i cannot figure out how to do this. In all honesty i'm not 100% sure how i've got it working at little in the first place. Currently i have several 'moving' parts to my puppet. I can get the mouth to respond to audio which is great, but when i watch the recordings back the shapes do not follow the words i'm saying. I'm trying to get the puppet to lip sync with the camera but it's just showing me all of the mouth layers at the same time. The layers are assigned to the corresponding tags. i also have a pair of goggles that i want to move with my eyebrows, but only up and down not across the whole space. i also have a stationary cat and dog in the image that are currently breathing but i'd like them to blink randomly too. Help please 🙂

The camera can only recognize 3 mouth shapes: Smile, Surprised, and neutral. All lip syncing is done by audio. If you're not getting the results you want, you can try transcript based lip syncing as shown in this video: Transcript-based Lip Sync - Adobe Character Animator Tutorial

I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish with the goggles - do you wish to effect changes on just part of them while leaving the rest stationary?

Regarding the cat and dog, are they separate puppets in the scene? If so, you should be able to add autoblink behavior to each of them.

thank you! i'll have a look at the video. My puppet itself is stationary, except for mouth and goggles so it's just to further animate ther face. I have manage to get it working-although i don't really know how, and if i untage the cat ang dog eyes it stops working.

Have assigned auto blink to both pairs or eyes, the rigging issues states non layers or handles with required tags? TIA

To be clear, the animals are separate from the main puppet? The warnings you're seeing simply mean that the program isn't finding what it's expecting. If autoblink doesn't work, make sure that the eye parts have the necessary tags (left eye, Lid, Pupil, eyeball, etc.) and it should work.
