A few years ago I remember dropping an audio onto a puppet on my iphone, using an app? or maybe a link on adobe website? and it would lip sync to the basic puppet. Anyone remember how to access this or if it's even available? Sorry for the cryptic memory of this experience.

Puppets in Character Animator (CH) are usually created in either Photoshop or Illustrator with each component on a separate layer. There are many tutorials for it, but perhaps the best source of information is Okay Samurai - Dave Werner. Not only does he have lots of video tutorials to check out, but many free puppets for you to download. A quick search should point you to several studios that sell professional puppets for you to use.
This tool can be finicky at times, but with practice, I'm sure you'll become a pro with it.
