Webcam laptop... phone ?

Hi guys, I have a laptop connected to a bigger screen.

So it's tedious to use the webcam on the laptop and stuff.

Any chance I can choose or use my phone as a webcam?

I tried few things, but Character animator wont allow me to choose a different one.

Can you use your phone as a web cam for other packages? That is, does Adobe not recognize the phone webcam software you have? Or do you not know how to make the phone act as a webcam? That might need some google searches - lots comes up when i did some searches so products do exist (but I have not used any of them Personally so cannot recommend any in particular). Different software might be needed for android vs iphone.

Hi, yes I tried few apps on android and windows 10, but neither skype or other webcam apps recognised the phone webcam.

Would be great to do that.

I suspect you would have to find an app that can act as a webcam - meaning it appears as a camera device. Sorry, I have no experience with that and don’t recall it coming up before.

Others have reported problems with particular webcams they have purchased, so even if it does work with say Skype, it might fail in CH.

Not sure if you can use the NDI tools (from a separate site, but works with Adobe for sending video output to different locations - like streaming to twitch/YouTube) - not sure if they can take a stream as a webcam to feed in.

Hopefully someone else might jump up, but it’s not a common topic on the forums.

Via wifi or USB ( better usb, faster response ).

Hi guys, your topic is very interesting. I'm looking for a way to work with other people remotely, using their video stream as if it were CH's source webcam. Is there any program / software that can help me? I have seen DroidCamera but it seems to work only if the device is on the same LAN as the PC. What if the two devices are on different networks?
