Another significant bug in the new bug tracker to be aware of

G'day

No, I will not be flooding the forum with notifications of bugs I find in the bug tracker, but this other one is important because it could cause data loss.

https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3120319

G'day

I have this URL to a bug in the old bug tracker:

http://cfbugs.adobe.com/cfbugreport/flexbugui/cfbugtracker/main.html#bugId=86893

About 50% of the time, this URL redirects to the new bug tracker. The other 50% of the time, it stays on the old one.

What's *worse*, is that the old bug tracker has not been switched to read-only mode. Note that I was able to add a test comment to that ticket just now.

This means people could inadvertently be adding data to the old tracker, which is info that will be lost when it gets switched off (I am presuming you are not continually migrating new info from there, it was simply a one-off port).

Just something to be aware of.

Before I submit a bug report about the new bug tracker's search screen, a little sanity check please...

Is it my imagination or is there no way to search by bug number ?

I am also not thrilled "version number" is a required field. As it forces you to search multiple times if you do not know the exact version a bug was reported against.

It's your imagination.  There's a search box @ the top right specifically for searching on bug ID.
