Can CF Admin use LDAP authentication?

Is there a way to have the Cold Fusion administrator use LDAP (Active Directory) to authenticate users?

I have not seen this as an option.  One could write a web app that used LDAP for authentication and then wrap the Admin API to perform most common admin functionality: ColdFusion Administrator API Reference Documentation
