I've tried multiple installations now - completely new. After the configuration is complete, and I navigate to the Administrator > Settings Summary page, I get the following error:
The getMachineUUID method was not found.Either there are no methods with the specified method name and argument types or the getMachineUUID method is overloaded with argument types that ColdFusion cannot decipher reliably. ColdFusion found 0 methods that match the provided arguments. If this is a Java object and you verified that the method exists, use the javacast function to reduce ambiguity. The specific sequence of files included or processed is: C:\ColdFusion2021\cfusion\wwwroot\CFIDE\administrator\reports\index.cfm, line: 191
What gives????

Hi All,
We have identified the issue and prepared the patch for this. We have shared the patch with the team and they will update the AMI. Once it is updated, I will update the thread.

@kenji kishino This is fixed in update 4. You can apply the update 4 and let me know if that resolves the issue.

@Priyank Shrivastava.
I appreciate your support.
I applied update4, but unfortunately it did not change the situation.

Kinji, can you pleaee consider what I'd written early in this thread, https://community.adobe.com/t5/coldfusion-discussions/cf2021-administrator-setting-summary-page-erro...
and let us know what you confirm.

I checked the update log (update 4) and there were no fatal errors. (only one warning)
Note that we have not applied any updates other than UPDATE 3 and UPDATE 4.
Thanks,

Ok. While you await further reply from Priyank, have you tried update 5? I know he said it was fixed in update 4. I was surprised to hear that, because I thought update 4 and 3 had no bug fixes, only security fixes. (None are listed in their update technotes.) But the technote for update 5 not only lists bugs fixed but two mention aws, though not your problem specifically.
Each update is easily uninstalled, if you might assert you're "not ready yet" to commit to moving to update 5. It would take just a few mins to try it (including cf restart) to see if it fixes this.

Thank you for your advice.
I also tried update 5, but unfortunately it was no different than update 4.

Did this ever get sorted? I spun up a CF2021 AMI with update 5 preinstalled and am having the same issue.

I can confirm the latest AMI dated Jan 23 2023 with Update 5 also has this bug. A solution would be helpful.

It is April 11 2023 the latest AMI still gives me the same bug. A solution is necessary if you wish to maintain customers.

We started using an Amazon image for CF2021 a few months ago, and this issue remains unresolved through Update 10. However, this is my workaround: if you link to the Server Settings page directly (as opposed to letting the UI pass it through an index page with Javascript), it should load correctly. I've set up direct browser bookmarks for my instances, and they work reliably.
