Hi all,
I've just purchased a ColdFusion 2025 Standard Edition license, and activated my trial version. From my understanding, it should be valid for one year. However, in the ColdFusion admin panel, the license is showing as valid only until October 20, 2025 which is just three months from now (see screenshot below).
Does anyone know if this is a standard issue, or if there might be a problem with the license activation? I've written to Adobe but I'm not sure when I'll get their reply.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
Simon

With the subscription licensing having only started with cf2025 (released in Feb), it's hard to imagine anyone but Adobe being able to help here. I suppose others who bought a license can check their admins to see what they report.
What email address did you use to reach out? The one they offer publicly is cfsup@adobe.com. If you learn anything, in hope you'll share that news here for others who may find this post in the future.

Hi Charlie. Thanks for the reply. I wrote to coldfusionsales@adobe.com. I'll try cfsup too, and if I find out anything, I'll share it here.

As you activated the trial version, it seems like the license's internal date-checker incorrectly picked up the trial-end-date.

Well, the trial is for 30 days, rather than the 3 months Sile reported, so that doesn't seem to be it.

I installed the trial version on June 21, 2025.
Today (July 20), with one day remaining to the expiry of the trial, I activated it.
And it showed the license validity was till Oct 20, 2025.
Will update here once I hear from Adobe.

@Charlie Arehart , Indeed. I am aware that a Trial license is valid for 1 month and a Standard Edition Subscription is valid for one year. I was more engrossed in the puzzle of what might have caused the error. As that is a typical error for expiry-date validators, I was trying to figure out which licensing event would have an end-date within 3 months.
That said, you're right. That still wouln't make sense. Another possibility I thought of is that @sile_5083 paid for the subscription on October 20, 2024. I suppose, that wouldn't make sense either.
I look forward to learning about the cause of the error.

I purchased the subscription for $760 today (July 20, 2025).
Will hopefully find out soon.

Thanks for clearing that up. Let's hear what Adobe has to say about the issue.

Well, Adobe haven't replied yet, but the licence expiry date has now suddenly changed to August 18, 2026, which is almost 13 months from activation. That works fine for me provided it stays that way...
Thanks again to everyone who shared their thoughts earlier. I’ll still follow up here if I hear back from Adobe, just in case it helps others.

Hi @sile_5083 , thanks for the update. That is good news.
If, having bought a 12-month subscription, I received 13 months, I would no longer press on the subject. 🙂
